Emotion Focused Therapy
Emotion Focused Therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals identify, explore, and process their emotions in order to foster emotional healing and growth.
During our sessions I aim to provide a safe holding space for you to explore, experience & express your most vulnerable emotions. I believe in the power of vulnerability. I walk along side you as you move through this process.

Person Centric Therapy
Person Centric Therapy focuses on the belief that people have the ability to understand themselves and make positive changes when given the right support, ultimately fostering greater self- awareness and emotional well being.
At Healing Hurting Hearts Counselling, I view you as an individual who has purpose and the ability to embrace personal growth and healing. I believe that you are more than the things that have happened to you.

Trauma Informed Therapy
Trauma Informed Therapy acknowledges that trauma, whether from abuse, neglect, loss, or other distressing events, can significantly affect one’s sense of safety, identity, and ability to trust others. This approach focuses on helping clients understand the effects of trauma, regulate emotions, & gradually build resilience, while emphasising empowerment, choice, and collaboration in the therapeutic process.
As your counsellor, I focus on understanding the impact that trauma has had on you individually. While creating a supportive and caring environment for you to move towards rebuilding inwardly.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a widely used, evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. The core principle of CBT is that our thoughts influence how we feel and act, and by changing negative or unhelpful thought patterns, individuals can improve their emotional state and behavior.
The mind is a powerful tool to use to work towards freedom. By recalibrating your thought patterns, I believe in training the mind to work for you and not against you.
